Dr. Manisha Khanna
Chairperson, DAKSHTAA

Dr. Manisha Khanna brings over twenty years of distinguished experience in academia, educational administration, and institutional leadership to her role as Chairperson of DAKSHTAA. A Ph.D. in English Literature from University of Allahabad, she has held key positions as Academic Coordinator, Examination Coordinator, and Placement Coordinator across leading higher education institutions in Prayagraj, demonstrating a rare blend of scholarly excellence, administrative competence, and entrepreneurial vision. Her academic work encompasses Indian English Fiction, Ecocriticism and Gandhian Thought. She has authored a scholarly monograph and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributing meaningfully to contemporary literary and cultural discourse. As a regular resource person for the State Institute of Educational Management and Training (SIEMAT), Dr. Khanna conducts sessions for the Diploma in Educational Management programme. Her sessions on communication, personality development, and leadership—grounded in Indian knowledge traditions and contemporary educational practices—have benefited educators and academic leaders across the region. Under her leadership, DAKSHTAA is guided by a vision that combines academic rigor with practical relevance, fostering professional excellence, innovative pedagogy, and transformative leadership in education.

A key contributor to NISHTHA and national curriculum frameworks, she has led 50+ capacity-building programmes and supports institutions on inclusive curriculum design, gender-aware pedagogy, and policy-informed teacher development.

Professor of education with over 42 years at the Universities of Allahabad and Banaras Hindu University, including service as Vice Chancellor, Dean, and Director of the UGC Human Resource Development Centre. A prolific scholar—102 research papers, 16 books, and 62 psychological tools—he advises on teacher education, faculty development, and institutional quality assurance through NAAC and NCTE frameworks.

Former Controller of Examinations at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with extensive leadership over one of India's largest school examination systems serving millions of students nationwide. Brings deep expertise in examination governance, evaluation design, and assessment integrity—advising schools and education boards on fair testing frameworks, policy reforms, and practices that strengthen credible learner outcomes at scale.

Partners with schools to strengthen classroom practice and leadership routines. Work focuses on practical coaching cycles, reflective lesson study, and helping principals build systems that support teacher growth.

Designs engaging training experiences for educators—balancing research-informed pedagogy with on-ground realities. Specializes in activity-based workshops, formative assessment practices, and classroom-ready resources.
